  • Data routing and file transferring: Off-line optimization problems adressed by using single/multi-objective metaheuristics, e.g., PSO, GA, NSGA-II, SMPSO, pGA, pPSO or pNSGA-II.
  • Beacon broadcasting: On-line optimization by applying distributed heuristic greedy methods.
  • Hardware platform deployment: Multi-objective optimization problem to compute road side units (RSU) platform designs by using paralell multi-objective algorithms.
  • Real world vehicular networks deployment to perform outdoor analyses.


The research hypothesis of this dissertation was awarded with the Doctoral Consortium 2013. The award was given by the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence (AsociaciĆ³n EspaƱola para la Inteligencia Artificial - AEPIA).
